Secure engineering

ACOS ET does not only offer different user roles and rights but also enables users to authenticate themselves, either locally or at central authentication points (e.g. Windows AD).

Encrypted processes

Security of project data, as well as secure transmission of configuration data to the RTUs (which are similarly based on certificate-based authentication), are an absolute MUST. In addition, sets of parameters and firmware update packages are tested for their integrity. At no time are your process data without protection.

Secure Communication

For the encryption of data transmission via network-based telecontrol protocols by means of public or private network infrastructures, the ACOS 7 series enables the setting-up of secure transmission links on the basis of certificate-based authentication or preshared keys, by using OpenVPN or IPSec - thereby protecting your equipment against attacks.

Diagnostics and Operation

Diagnosis of RTUs takes place via ACOS ET or the integrated web server. The web server also includes different user roles and rights. For diagnostic purposes, we recommend to set up different zones and a segmentation via suitable VLANs. Logging of security-relevant events is done by means of Syslog. Additionally, it is possible to poll information using SNMPv3.
